A Call for Rebellion (Inspired by the incident) |
by Michael Jackson Taylor
Archaeological expedition of ants
(A matrilineal culture?)
A ceremonial procession -
Curving, creeping, carrying
Moldy, cobwebby, ancient riches.
Courageous adventurers -
Delphi, Detroit, Denny's...
You're everywhere!
Day and night,
A supply chain of determined scientists
Concatenated by obedience to the Queen.
You thieves!
You're drowning inside my bottle of molasses -
Dealing in false relics!
Who commissioned this dig?
Where's the body to your long, black, arm -
Inside that hole?
She swoons over these spoils
Produced by your sweat-lodge labor!
Rebel yourselves from her supply chain;
Read the Communist Manifesto,
Or Common Sense!
Rally a Che Guevara!
Unlink yourselves from this fear
And make for yourselves some democracy!
